OOPS they did 'it' again.

A friend of mine contacted me and told me that they changed the wording of the so called Autism treatment (HR 2413 in the house, S 819 in the senate) accelerated act yet again.

I went to congress.gov and pulled hr 2413 (using the numbered bill search). Sure enough my friend was right.

The mandetory registry, and 'surveilence' (meaning MONITORING) of all people with Autism and Aspergers is still there.

But wait there is more. The bill claims that the parents of the children have rights. Yet if that is so, why does a COMMITTEE get to CHOSE what treatments, and vocational training the child with Autism gets to have? Why should a committee say to a child who just got a A+ in Physics, you get to be trained as a Janitor? If the powers that be care so much about the Autistic communitee, why are they trying to dumb US down?

And if they care so much about ensuring that all autistics get the care that they need, why are they denying coverage, care, and treatment for any Autistic or Aspergers person after they are 25 years old?

I have Aspergers, and for the Aspergers I am in counselling. This means once we go to a single payer system, my children and I will not only be made into wards of the state, we'll be denied the treatments of our choice, we'll will be denied the right to choose for my children the college of their choice (even though their IQ's are well into the 140's), and I will be denied treatment altogether for no other reason than I am over 25 (as well as millions of adults with varying degress of autism across the country).

And if all of this isn't enough for everyone who is reading this, then consider this; on the summery of this bill, it says this bill can be bought back to life at any given time!

I have been fighting this bull crap since 4/17/09, when Senator Edward Kennedy's office (and subsequentially a registered letter from the late senator himself) verified that all children with Autism would be denied coverage under S chip (which Congressman Lujan often brags that he is a proud co-sponsor of(and also did so in two registered letters to me)).

And let us not forget that it was a registered letter from Congressman Lujan from New mexico that stated that he supports a single payer system (even if it does deny certain people equal access to the health care that we have come to take for granted).

So even if S 819 doesn't pass (and a single payer system (which Congressman Lujan strongly supports does)); I, my children, and everyone with Autism and Aspergers will adversely be affected when we are denied equall coverage under the so called health care reform bills that are even now going through the senate and the congress.

As we will be denied 'equal' coverage ... that means that millions of Americans will immediately be labled CRIMINALS for no other reason then we will wrongly be denied insurance (when our private care insurers are forced out of business as they will be when the senate version of the health care bill passes), we will still be REQUIRED to PAY for a health care system that we are deemed UNWORTHY of recieving for ourselves!

For the record, Neither I nor my children will sign the mandetory registry/surveillence package that the Obama Administration is trying to push on the American people. I urge everyone with Autism and Aspergers to fight these laws with all of your heart, your soul, and your life. Because indeed our very existance is on the line with the outrageous agenda that this administration is targeting us with.

Let us not forget the Jews of Nazi Germany (who even before the Nuremburg laws were put in placed) were forced to register as though they were common criminals. The registry that they were forced to sign, made it that much easier for the Nazis to find them.

And as this adminstration becomes more inclined to deny us equal treatment under the law, the very 'registry' that they would have us sign will make it that much easier for THEM to find US.

There are people who are angered that I dare to write about this. They say that 'this' is 'better than nothing'. I have even had people say that because THEY DO NOT have Autistic relatives, this doesn't affect them ... so they are OK with it. I guess that means when it affects THEM, and no one does anything to help (because it 'doesn't affect them') that's OK too.

Look at the facts here, history IS repeating itself. And for those of you who do NOTHING, while the Autistic community is made to suffer for YOUR SILENCE ... May God have mercy upon you ... because for the record, I WON'T!

Naval Vessel quarantine story is not a hoax

In this document it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the three vessels that were assumed (but not confirmed) to have been quarantined (along with the deaths of a captain and chief petty officer) have actually happened.

They say that instead of the 'shot' we'll be getting the spray that's sprayed inside of your nose. Yet I have fears (especially after reading this document) that those are just as dangerous.

With the Bush administration (even though I am greatful for him keeping our country safe after 9/11) not allowing people to sue for defective vaccines (and yes it was the Bush administration that did this), they can put anything into this vaccine.

And with 1 out of every 91 children now being diagnosed with Aspergers and Autism, I have no DOUBTS that this is precisely what has been done.

Don't get me wrong. I'm no liberal, but I believe in placing responsibility where it truly belongs. And in taking away our rights to protect ourselves and our children from potentially life threatening 'vaccines', that responsibility rests solely on the shoulders of the Bush administration.

Say NO to the H1N1 vaccine, say NO to any vaccine in which the doctors can not or will NOT tell you what they contain (and the side effects thereof).

I am so tired of people saying that opposition to the so called 'Health reform bills' are 'partisan'. As I recall, Reid couldn't even get the votes from Democrats to pass the 'senate bill'. Which by the way, passed through the committee (even though the only person there that would support the bill was senator Baucus.

I don't oppose the Health care reform bill because I am PARTISAN. I oppose the Health care reform bills because it is a direct attempt to take away my freedom of choice as to what treatments I choose for myself.

(Please note that in a letter I recieved from Congressman Lujan of New (Dem) that he stated that he supports a SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM)

I oppose the 'so called Health reform bill' S 819 HR 2413 the so called Autism treatment accelerated act because it calls for a mandetory registry and submission to being under constant surveilence of every man, woman, and child with Aspergers or Autism.

In short it makes those of us with Aspergers and Autism the functional equivelent to the JEWS of NAZI GERMANY!

I also oppose the so called Autism treatment accelerated acts, because it calls for only a 'handful of treatment centers 'scattered' through out the country; from which ALL treatments for Autism and Aspergers will be 'given'.

In short RATIONED!

And NO, those of us with Autism and Aspergers do not get to decide what treatments work! We will GET the treatments that the centers CHOOSE to give us!

I oppose the so called Children's health reform act aka S CHIP (which was signed into law by President Obama) because it denys children with Autism coverage (which means if we are forced onto a public option all children with Autism will be DENIED CARE).

I am not the only 'person' who opposes the so called Health Reform legislation on the floor of the congress, and senate. There were two million people at the DC march on 9/12 who oppose these bills too.

And yet instead of giving them credit for coming to Washington, DC to let their voices be heard; they were demonized as Nazis .... tea baggers...Radicals, Facists, and racists.

And yet, is it us who dare to exercise our freedom of speech who are calling for Mandetory registries (replete with surveilence services of law abiding Americans) for anyone who didn't agree with us? Is it US, who are telling those who we don't agree with to 'STEP ASIDE and TAKE IT'? Is it US who are trying to Supress the freedom of speech of others? Is it US who are saying that NAZI does NOT mean SOCIALIST (even though according to the German language it does)? And is it US who are giving child abusers PREFERENCE over they very children upon whom they prey, while telling those people who have learning disabilities that they should be registered and monitored as though THEY are the criminals?

I don't think so.

I truly believe that our one hope is the 2010 elections. We need to kick everyone who votes for these so called Health care reform bills OUT! Whether they are democrats or republicans, we need to kick them ALL out to the curb!

In short God help us to keep our courage so that we can continue to speak out against all who would discriminate against someone merely because they disagree with the party who is currently in power, or because they are 'different'.

Hi everyone,

Please understand that I am not writing this blog as a Democrat, or a Republican. For what I'm saying here I've been shouted down, cajoled, marginalized, and demeaned by people of both parties.

I'm writing this blog as a married mom with Aspergers syndrom, raising (and trying to protect) two daughters who are also living with Aspergers.

On 4/17th of this year my daughter's pediatrician lamented the fact that according to the Children's Health care Reform act (as passed and made into law in 2009) "Autism is now a 'untreatable' illness, and will no longer be covered by insurance.

I didn't believe him, so I went to Congress.gov and searched under 'Health care reform act'. Sure enough, it was there. Since then I've been calling, faxing, and emailing every rep I could in both the senate and the congress. I even called the president. All of my queries were mainly met with indifference, derision, and a blatant dismissal of my concerns by both Democrats and Republicans alike.

I even tried to contact the ASA (Autism Society of America), which by the way I was a member of. These 'wonderful' people, refused to return my calls. I was transferred from department to department to department, only to reach a 'voice mail' of the Director who was 'supposed' to address my concerns. And no, he didn't even have the decency to answer my call.

The only thing that the ASA would say was how much 'attention' the President was paying to the organization. But what about the people who this 'organization' was supposed to be representing? Where was OUR attention? Where was the answer to our concerns over having the ADA and the Civil rights act violated against ourselves, our children, and every man .. woman.. and child living with Autism and Aspergers?

Since mid April, I've been doing all the leg work begging Congressman Lujan, Senator Bingamin, and Senator Udall to do their jobs. Not ONCE have they had the decency to favor me with a reply.

In May I finally got a 'update' email from the ASA saying that we needed to support S.819, which is supposed to represent those of us with Autism and give us equal tretament. I also got similiar emails from Autism Speaks, and Autism Votes.

Out of curiosity, I went to congress.gov and searched for S. 819. Sure enough it's there.

First of all, there will only be a 'few' Autism centers. And we're supposed to be getting our treatments ONLY from these 'approved' centers, who will decide our treatments 'for' us. Never mind, that the treatments may not be ones that are 'right ' for my children. Never mind, that the treatment that works for one child with Autism may not work for another child with Autism.

As if taking away our freedom of choice in deciding the 'right' treatments for ourselves and our children isn't enough, there's more.

This bill also calls for a 'volunteer' registry. It's 'supposed' to be 'voluntary', but according to some staffers of some of the senators; if you want special education services or treatments for your children ... you MUST register.

In short the current Administration (dems and republicans alike), Autism Speaks, the ASA, and Autism votes have betrayed the very people who they are 'supposed' to represent. And I am saying it here and now. These traitorous organizations DO NOT represent myself, my children, or anyone with Autism. Indeeed, they should be called to task as to why it's more important to 'pal around with politicians' than it is to do their sworn duty and to protect 'our' interest.

Why is it that I and my children will be forced to REGISTER as though we are incapable of making our own decisions and are criminals who must be 'monitored' at all costs; yet Child abusers who prefer to attack children who are the same sex as their abusers are being giving 'preferred' status?

Why is it that I, my children, and millions of people who live with Aspergers and Autism are being DEMOTED to second class citizens?

All the Congress and Senate had to do in order to be in accordance with the Civil Rights Act and the ADA (Americans with Disabilities act) was to strike the erroneous phrase "Autism is a untreatable illness" from the Health care reform acts and the Children's health care reform acts (thereby eliminating the 'excuse' not to treat us equally under the law).

Instead, they have given 'us' the functional equivalent to the Nuremburg laws.

I've been told that I'm 'over reacting' to this attack on my, my children's freedoms for no other reason than the fact that we learn in a different way than people who are considered to be 'normal'. Of course, I've been told this by people who this outrageous law does not 'affect'. I guess they think that since it's not them, than those of us who are 'affected' should keep our mouths shut so no one else will be hurt. Even some people with Autism say that S. 819 is 'better than nothing'.

I say it's worse. I say that in demoting myself, my children, and every one with Autism to 'wards of the state' is facism at it's worst.

I also think that this administration will not stop with people with Autism. I think that with certain government departments (such as the census bureau) who are threatened by anyone who doesn't agree with them; they won't stop with those of us with Autism.

My question when this adminstration comes after 'you' will be this ...

Where were you when all this started? When this could have been stopped 'before' this happened to you ... Why did you stand by and do nothing?
